Japanese Developer Adds Positional Tracking to Sex Doll

Taken by YouTube user zeroyon01 at the annual OcuFes (Oculus Festival) held in Tokyo, this video of the tentatively named “Space Battleship Girlfriend” takes VR hentai to a whole new level, by cleverly positioning a mobile phone inside an inflatable sex doll. The VR character then moves in time with his motions, and can be repositioned however the user wants. Check out the small screen in the top left to see the magic happen.

Try as I might though, I can’t find an official link or even any mention of it on the OcuFes demo listing, so don’t get your hopes up of downloading this thing and squeezing your iPhone into an inflatable virtual schoolgirl just yet.

However, I did get utterly distracted, and ended wandering across this virtual girlfriend tooth brushing simulator instead, which is, umm… I’m genuinely lost for words on that one. The creator has named it “I want to brush a girl’s teeth in VR”. Who said Japanese people lack creativity?

It is of course, a reference to the anime series Nisemonogatari, a highly contentious anime that many say overdid the fanservice, particularly when it comes to the sexualization of younger characters.

Back on topic though, if you do manage to find a link or guide to get this positional tracking sex doll thing working, I’d love to hear about it.

 

Yiffalicious, a Furry VR Sex Simulator (In Development)

Finally, what we’ve all been waiting for: virtual horse cocks. Yiffalicious (from the word Yiff) is a no-bullshit furry VR sex simulator currently in development, and it looks incredible. Planned features include:

  • Model marketplace for importing and selling your furry character creations
  • Interaction editor, so you can design your own poses and short movies, then publish them for all to enjoy.
  • Enjoy interactions from the point of view of either character (perfect for VR) as well as third person perspective.
  • Procedural animations, so you can tweak it exactly how you want and not rely on a limited number of preset animations.
  • Facial expressions, something often overlooked or badly done in 3D games.

It’s an exciting list of features, and with model imports it’s not hard to imagine the engine could potentially be expanded to cover non-furry interactions too. Clearly, this isn’t going to be the killer VR porn app for everyone, but it’s precisely this kind of niche content that makes VR porn such an exciting opportunity.

Sadly, there’s no demo to download and VR support is promised at a later date after the main app has launched. Still, if you head over to Patreon and show your support with as little as $3/month, they might be more inclined to prioritize a working VR demo.

Custom Maid 3D Oculus Rift Patch Available For All *

Around this time last year we reported on the first decent hentai game to receive the Rift treatment – Custom Maid 3D. Unfortunately, the game was entirely in Japanese, only available within Japan or through outrageously expensive import channels, and only if you purchased the additional hardware (a penis controller, now discontinued and hence even more expensive than it was on import the first time around).

Now, a kindly soul has seen it to it that the files are patched with English dialog, Oculus Rift mode enabled without the additional hardware, and available for anyone to download through the joy of torrents (scroll down for the links).

Now that we’ve had a chance to play it, here’s the deal: your uncle owns a hostess club, and he’s given you a maid to play with and train as you wish (she’s actually a childhood friend who had a secret crush, so she’s been keeping herself chaste for you). The game has 4 basic modes. First, a design and cosplay area where you can change outfits and attributes like hair or eyes. Second is the dance stage – the basic game includes 4 songs that your customized girl will dance to. Third is conversation mode, where your dialog choices can affect the skills or locations available to you in the fourth mode – the playroom – you’ll need to this mode to unlock areas. The playroom is the core of the game where the real action happens. Before each scene, you create a play menu from the catalogue of currently available positions. Once you’ve made your selection, you hit play, and the scene begins. There’s a limited amount of interaction during the scenes, essentially boiling down to “move on”, “slow” and “fast”. Certain acts will change your maid’s attribute points, and at some point, more rooms become available, more acts are unlocked (SM actions in the dungeon, for instance).

Before you try to run the game – Rift mode or otherwise – you’ll need to set your system locale to Japanese. In game, you can fly around with WASD, rotate with QE, as well as the standard head tracking and mouselook.

The menus can be quite difficult to read off to the side, so I would suggest getting a feel for the game without the Rift, first.

If you appreciate the anime style, you’ll love this game – Custom Maid 3D Oculus Rift is the most polished hentai sex experience available, and far better than any of the current western releases with their goofy looking 10-polygon characters. Which makes it all the more sad that the company behind it – Illusion.jp – wants absolute nothing to do with English speaking countries.

This VR porn game is an experimental version of the popular “Just One Dance” bonus scene from hentai animation Biocock Infinite.

Bandai Namco Teases VR Schoolgirl Game for PS4 Morpheus with “Summer Lesson”

Bandai Namco knows what’s up. Despite no solid release date for Project Morpheus, they’ve released teaser footage during the pre-TGS Sony conference with more details and a playable VR schoolgirl demo promised at the Tokyo Game Show later this year. It should be noted that this may only be a technology demo, and may not actually flesh out into a full game.

As far as gameplay footage goes, the renders are incredible, so I have high hopes for this. What do we know so far though? The Japanese voiceover is scant in details, but here’s what I can tell you

  • The developer starts by talking about the Morpheus in general, explaining that “you have to try it to believe it”.
  • The player is in the environment and the in-game character is aware of them.
  • The game will be focussed around communication, probably simple interactions such as the yes/no dialog you can see in the video.
  • He only talks about the bedroom environment, but says they’re focussed on making it really feel like you’re there.
  • There’ll be “lots of interesting characters to interact with”, so presumably not all schoolgirls then – but this might also be interpreted as “depending on the user settings, she can take on the role of many different personalities”.
  • At the end, the girl says “Let’s go on a trip this Summer holiday”.

Although not explicitly spelt out in the video, it seems this will be some kind of classic dating sim – let’s hope it sees a worldwide release or at least an easy import. Here’s to Japan for taking VR where it really wants to go!

It’s Happening: Oculus Rift + Tenga + Novint Falcon

Oh, Japan. We’ve already seen a penis controller that measures your thrust to change the speed on-screen animation. From the November 2013 Oculus Game Japan in Tokyo, team resentment (a 4 man team, one of whom works for Illusion.jp) stuck a Tenga on the end of a Novint Falcon – which combined with an Oculus Rift for the visual feedback, makes an entirely automated virtual masturbator.

Fun fact of the day: Japanese are huge fans of onomatopoeia, where words are made to sound like the action they describe. “Shiko shiko” is the sound of a guy masturbating.

The system is unique for its use of a Novint Falcon, an ageing 3D haptic controller that’s seeing a resurgence in interest thanks to the new VR revolution.

However, it looks like it’s been reverse engineered since it wouldn’t normally be used to move on it’s own – as a controller, it offers force feedback to the user so they can feel their way around 3d objects. To be honest, it’s not the best makeshift thrusting machine. They also demonstrated the device being used in a more traditional controller setup, where the user thrusts and a certain amount of realistic resistance is felt.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time the Falcon has been made to thrust on its own, as this video from 2007 shows… Warning: making your Falcon do this is a sure fire way to break it.

Also featured at the game jam was the use of a model posing device – QuMarion –  to change the sexual position an the in-game character.
