New Yunalus VR Porn Demo with Hydra and Leap Motion

Illusion.jp have quietly released another teaser featuring Yunalus, this time by way of their YouTube channel, and not a playable demo. The video translates roughly as:

We invite you to the 3d environment with the appearance of “virtual device”
It feels like you’re really there
With this high tech device
Of course you can look from underneath too!
Breasts changed matched with hand movements!

The video shows positional tracking with a Hydra, and when used with the Leap Motion, it shows the girls breasts being enlarged with a gesture. That’s certainly a novel use, I guess.

Finally, the creators mention “OcuFes” (Oculus Festival) a meetup hosted in a Burger café in Akihabara, Tokyo where you can try out the Yunalus demos and meet with fellow Otaku. There’s also a list of some other Japanese Rift demos to download on that page.

Clearly, there’s nothing solid yet – this is just another tech demo with the creators toying around. Would they actually release a VR porn game that required the Hydra, Leap Motion, Oculus Rift *and* no doubt a penis controller? Doubtful.

Rift Patch Makes This The First VR Porn Game

Entrepeneurs have talked about it, Rift owners have secretly dreamed about it, others have predicted it would bring about the downfall of humanity – and just as I suspected, Japan was more than happy to just get on with it.

In fact, the only VR porn demo to be released in the wild so far had come from Illusion.jp [NSFW], an eroge maker famous this side of the pond for its controversial (and in most countries, banned) RapeLay game. It was but a one-room demo viewed from the perspective of a child, and left most users understandably baffled.

Say hello to Custom Maid 3D, a year old game from Japanese developers KISS, responsible for such classics as “How to Make a Perverted Girlfriend” and “Custom Fuck Slave” (translations mine – like most Japanese porn game makers, they are English averse). The game itself already had a rather high-tech slant thanks to its unique peripheral – the Ju-C, an electronic onahole with various sensors – designed to measure the intensity of your actions and adjust on-screen character movements suitably.

Forget WiiSports – motion detection finally has a real world usage scenario! The controller, featuring a washable hole in the centre, has a button you can press to indicate the point of orgasm – triggering some additional in-game animations.

An alpha patch published discreetly last week makes KISS the first developers of a Rift-compatible full VR sex game. Here’s a gameplay video of the un-Rifted version. If you even need to ask if this is going to be NSFW, GTFO now, of course it bloody well is.

Gameplay is understandable light – you customise your girl, then let her dance, or go backstage for some more private action in a choice of themed rooms – and despite the high initial cost (~$150 import), there’s at least 10 DLC packs for additional costumes.

Yunalus Rift Demo – Is This Porn? Fuck Knows

Of all the weird shit that comes out of Japan, it was never gonna be long before someone discovered the Rift. “Yunalus” is the first we’ve heard from a major publisher though. I hesitate to call this porn, because there’s nothing obviously sexual, other than a bit of fan service panchira – but then I challenge you to find a Japanese game, movie or animation without at least some kind of fleeting upskirt.

Whilst many Rift owners are raving over the exciting possibilities, they fail to understand that the demo is made by one of the biggest hentai game publishers in Japan – Illusion.jp, whose previous topic matter includes abusing a girl and her mother on the train, and an incest simulator (you can’t make this shit up). It’s clearly alluding at something they’re working on for the Rift, and which no doubt involves doing naughty things to your babysitter. Cymatic Bruce recorded some gameplay footage for you, though there really isn’t anything to do other than walk around, and even then there’s no collision detection yet.

The demo consists of a nicely made one-room Japanese apartment, with curtains screening off the genkan. The player character is low down to the ground, and objects appear larger than normal, suggesting you’re playing from the perspective of a baby with a small IPD. This isn’t a new concept – Among The Sleep is a horror game about childhood experiences that’s announced Rift support. The room is cell-shaded in 3D anime style, but as someone who’s actually lived in these kind of apartments for a few years (they are literally all the same, right now to the off-the-shelf one-piece plastic bathroom), remarkably realistic. I’m just terrified of what kind of adult game could possibly be made from this…

Don’t even bother trying to find out more about Illusion unless you read Japanese – they are quite clear that they want absolutely nothing to do with us dirty gaijin, either because their games are just too perverse for our sensible governments, or more likely because they’re just fucking sick of reading English emails.

In Development: Wicked Paradise

No sooner was the Rift released than Sinful Robot was announced with great fanfare – but the projects biggest investor vanished a few months later, along with all their funding. Sinful Robot was not to be defeated though, and was reborn as Wicked Paradise.

Imagine playing Leisure Suit Larry but instead of watching a screen, you are inside the game.
Imagine the world and its inhabitants look highly realistic.
Imagine walking into a bar in Wicked Paradise, noticing a beautiful lady, talking to her, and seducing her.
Imagine playing your cards right and having passionate wild sex with her.

Imagine all this in high quality, immersive virtual reality.

Jeroen Van Den Bosch is the man behind the game, and has since been negotiating other avenues of funding. His team of 8 has experience with triple-A titles like Call of Duty, so could Wicked Paradise actually be the quality sex game we’ve all been waiting for?

The idea is to deliver VR sex “experiences” – initially from a heterosexual male point of view, but later they’re hoping to add LGBT experiences or some specifically for women. Details are scant – they’re currently using Unreal engine, though this could change. No word as yet on whether the game will interact with various sex toy peripherals.

Technical Test Footage

Billed as the worlds first erotic virtual reality game, it’s a long way from release and anything could happen before then. Good luck to the team – I have high hopes for this becoming the platform of choice for VR “sexperiences”.

Somavision Announces Rift Sex Project

SomaVision are responsible for some of the shittiest looking web and PC sex games available, with graphics that look worse than the original Duke Nukem with the PlayBoy patch enabled (who didn’t have the PlayBoy patch?). A 3-day trial access to some of their wares will set you back no less than 15 shiny dollars.

To show how cool their as-yet untitled project is, they provided a picture of an Oculus Rift with some naked 3D models. Yes boys and girls – shit just got serious.

“This is the VR that we’ve been waiting for, and now it’s finally here. The leap in technology is tremendous and the ability to immerse the player into the virtual space is like nothing that we’ve seen before.

We’ve been making adult games for over 10 years. We have an experienced team that comes for professional game development and we’ve never been more excited to be on the cutting edge of adult entertainment.”

The development process is well under way, and to demonstrate this they’ve released an incredible demo of never-seen-before new character animation, which I hereby entitle “wibble wobble”. The entirely out-of-place static background is just the icing on the cake.

Forgive my skepticism – I really don’t mean to sound all cynical, but it seems like a non-existent project they just thought they’d announce in order to jump on the VR bandwagon and get a little press (says the guy who started a blog called vrsexblog.com). I especially enjoyed their third-person and riddled with errors blog post:
